A detailed guide to every Italian region and its property market
Google can be too sophisticated sometimes. One of my Australian friends sent me a link to this wonderful blog that ranks high when you search for properties in Piedmont from Down Under. Goole is short-changing its European users.
I was taken aback by the depth of Fleur Kinson's research into every--yes, every--region in Italy. She knows Italy better than I or any Italian person I know.
So, it is with some degree of pride that I quote from her analysis of Piedmont:
"Beautiful landscapes, great weather and world-beating gastronomy make Piedmont a northern Italian treasure trove. Visitor numbers keep rising, yet property here remains surprisingly affordable [...] In a sensible world, Piedmont would be among the Italian regions most popular with overseas buyers – up there with the likes of Tuscany, Umbria and Le Marche.
